Living life… the Thai way- Day 2

Hi guys 🙂 ,

I am back with my day 2 in Bangkok. It was very very eventful for me as day 2 was all about shopping and shopping 😉  ! We got down at Siam as MBK centre as well as Madame Tussauds were located there. Since both of us had never been to a Madame Tussauds before, we were super excited. Here are some pics 🙂

And because we were among the first few people to visit Madame Tussauds that day, we could get out in time to visit MBK centre as well. Time is always an important factor isn’t it? 🙂

Okay,  if you are interested in high end shops you can always shop at Siam Paragon/Discovery the place where Madame Tussauds and Siam Ocean World are located. But for us the smaller shops were more intriguing and  so we chose The MBK Centre  which definitely had a Thai feel to it 😉 .

We bought tissue covers,tops,t-shirts,shorts,dresses,tablet covers and also lots of trinkets and souvenirs. 🙂

I just loved these watches that we got for our moms!

And I must say the food court at MBK centre was so good, it felt like a culinary heaven!

We totally loved the food but the oyster omelette soon lost it’s reign over our taste buds 😦

There was no better way to end such a long, tiring and HAPPY day as this one. Was there?? 😉

  10. What a fun holiday!!! I went to Singapore Malaysia and Thailand in around 10 days through Thomas Cook. The thing with packaged tours is that we get to see important places but we never get to know the true beauty of the city. So unless I visit Thailand a second time, ill never know that place like you do. 😞

    1. Hi Shilpa😊, you are absolutely right. Even 12 days weren’t enough for us. But I am sure your holidays were fun too, hai na? And your profile picture, was it taken on the same trip too? The place looks very similar to Phanga 😄.

        Though, i agree that yes. Spending money like crazy helps 😀

          2. you know what, I believed my best friend loves shopping, only to realize that he is happy only till the time we are buying stuff for him otherwise he finds it pretty boring 😛 😀 hahaha!

          4. Why won’t anyone love spending money? There might be a difference in the avenues we guys visit, but spending money is sort of cathartic. Yesterday, was feeling a little low. Got myself a new study table : the 3rd I have :\ So, Shruti is actually right. Its not just women…

            Plus, who doesn’t like buying books. I think that is one shopping where both genders are known to have similar…ambitions.

          6. Oh no no. I don’t have problems with shopping. But ofcourse, I like to spend on things of interest to me, like everybody else, and what interests me can’t be found in malls 🙂 but yes, shopping is a good experience.

            PS: I am a marxist, so.. 🙂
