Hello guys,
“According to Greek mythology, humans were originally created with four arms, four legs, and a head with two faces. Fearing their power, Zeus split them into two separate beings condemning them to spend their lives in search for their other halves.”
While going through some of the love quotes on Pinterest, this one along with its cute picture story caught my eye. It reminded me of one of my favourite books ever, ‘Brida’, written by Paulo Coelho. It spoke of soulmates, of the joy they bring into our lives, they who were once us, who still are an integral part of our soul and the strong bond that we share with them. Those who find their soulmates in their life partners are, according to me, the luckiest people ever 🙂 . Some may not even be fortunate enough to see them ( I say, they come back for another life 😉 ), and some others, who get a chance not as life partners, but to be with them for maybe a year, a month, or even few minutes will have the memories etched deep in their hearts forever.
“Even if it is only for a matter of moments, because those moments bring with them a Love so intense that it justifies the rest of our days.”
― Paulo Coelho, Brida.
I don’t know if you do, but I believe in soulmates simply because it makes me happy! 🙂 I am sharing below a picture story, from the pinterest quote,I have mentioned above. Believe me, it is super cute!!!

Told you, it was cute. 🙂 I wish we could all go back to the time when humans were created, it would be so much fun meeting our soulmate, don’t you think??
Take care, and let the search continue 😉 .
Shruti.
Yes I do. Nice post.

Yes, wouldn’t it be lovely to meet our soulmate. I can’t say I don’t believe in them, I do to an extent…but am a little confused too 🙂 I know my soulmate is out there somewhere. The image is really sweet 🙂

Nothing much to say about this! I’ve found her and we’re dwelling in opposite poles of the same nation currently. It says it all. The passion and vibes of being alive comes out from human minds when they find their respective half. 🙂

It hurts! C’mon… It hurts the most. It hurts at its peak. And I hate it whenever such feelings stumbled upon my paths in a day or at some moments of timely action.
P.S. I feel that you know more about this, don’t you? Yes, you know…

Ive been quite two minded about the concept of a soul mate. On one side I want to believe that someday, I will find that person, on the other hand, I think its just like Santa Clause, all make believe

Wow Shruti,
I never knew about the Greek mythology’s this angle – four legs and four arms, etc.
That really sounds interesting.
And the Pinterest image is also very amusing…

Hey Shruti. Yup, cute post as promised. Though, I find it quite tragic that some only get to spend minutes, days … with their soul mates and that they have to spend years in solitude. I’ll have to disagree with Paulo on this one: their existence becomes simply pointless.
LikeLiked by 1 person
But you know, not necessarily in solitude. They need not be life mates that’s the whole point. If you get to soend that is wonderful but if not, the impact that they make wis enough to last a lifetime and you can carry on with your life you know. Besides it is said that a person has more than one soulmate! 😉

Yeah I know life goes on just fine but, you’ll always miss them. Something will always be missing. I’ve heard men in their forties say that they didn’t get to marry the one they loved. And, they still remember after all these years. I think there is just one soul mate, if you miss your chance, you’re done.

Hmmm, I don’t know if there is just one or more. Meeting one at least will be such a blessing 😀 .

If only people can be this simple & focus more on being happy than wondering what/who would make them happy , we would be living in a better world 🙂

“Being happy “, is very subjective! Maybe everyone can’t just be only happy, you know. I mean, happiness needs a reason na?
LikeLike
I firmly believe that happiness is not a thing to be pursued.it just comes . But if you seek it, it will evade you. It is like the moment you are conscious about something you cease being it for moment .
Eg: You really ain’t humble when you are conscious that you are 😀
Happiness is more relative than subjective. The yardstick differs with the frame of reference 🙂

Hmm got it. Nice way of putting it, yardstick and the frame,it is true as well. My frame is quite small then, I guess, but you know at times small frames are difficult too. 😉 I am happy, neverthess!

Don’t be so hard on yourself bud.. 😛 your frame ain’t small. Its very simple and hence bigger than any conceived complexity . Ever heard of the notion “reality is stranger than fiction? ” 😛

Oh no, no I am not being hard on myself. Just that for me happiness lies in those little, unnoticed things of life, which sadly go unnoticed that’s all. Told you, I am happy nevertheless, I mean I stay away from all negative thoughts and people! 🙂
