The sun retreated into his den
While drops of rain kissed the earth.
July first it was-
When I first saw you walking by.
I heard the music nature played,
Elation was when you smiled back at me.
To cross the road, when your hand found my waist
Our first touch it became.
Oh! the smell of fresh rain brings me back memories
Bittersweet reminiscences of a monochromatic past.
But the taste of those smoky lips still lingers
On my lips……
Lips that have forgotten how to kiss!
Shruti.
Good one.. A little bit of punctuation and lil more additions would make it wonderful and complete.. Once again.. Glad I stopped by 🙂

Hi 😀, been so long. And thank you so much, as you know I am terrible with punctuations 😢.

Ah this is utterly romantic. I want to dance in rain… and, yes, under an umbrella. Keep rhyming!

Really you think so? Or do I smell sarcasm again?

Why my comment is being over scrutinized? Life sucks but is it always so complicated? Take care 🙂

Na, I am sorry but you didn’t seem like the dancing under the umbrella kind of person. Btw what do you think of my new theme? And you take care too. 😊

I am a terrible reader when it comes to sensual poems, and that is something I am not particularly proud of. There is this whole range of literary works after all, which escapes my scrutiny.
But, to be honest, mujhe samajh hi nai aata most of the times 😁

I am so glad that you loved it Maniparna… I thought there was something missing the flow couldn’t spot what was really missing though. Was hoping you would find something. 😀
