One last kiss;

A deep sense of melancholy filled their hearts. They knew that their lives were about to change forever.

“Do you love me?”, she asked.

“I do”,

“And I do it so selfishly”. He replied, looking into her longing eyes.

As she smiled, a single tear was rolling down her cheek to kiss the back of his palm.

And then their lips met…… for one last kiss;

“If there ever comes a day where we can’t be together, keep me in your heart. I’ll stay there forever.” – Winnie the Pooh

  1. Eyes are dry
    My heart is wet-
    Lips fell for silence and
    I chose to dump the sleep
    Yet amidst these manly all,
    My silly mind keeps weeping
    Did it have to happen this easy way?

    There is no last time for word weavers my friend… But, I’ve seen many of them have refuse to live like there’s no tomorrow… Don’t know why this contradiction. None of our business right. I’ll visit your blog again to read your new posts 🙂

        I’m so sorry you’re undergoing some tough phase. I commented such considering your post a fictitious piece. Hope good times kiss your feet again.

          1. It is really okey to get carried away at times… Happier are those who can sulk, scream and cry… Some don’t have luxury to vent out their turmoiled emotions… So, they suffer more… in real of course.

          2. Well, it’d be imprudent to decide it so superficially… Because, decision of choice will vary depending on the graveness of the present situation as well as future plans. So, I guess it’s not just about “what should be”… Or, may be I’m getting carried away and commenting irrelevant 😀

  2. Got me thinking actually. Life would have been a little less heavy, if we knew the future. Like how do I know if this is my last kiss. As it turned out, I didn’t, and that didn’t change the way things turned out to be 😉

    But of course, there is a lot of life left… 😊

    1. When there is nothing much left for you to do, what would you do? Like I said in my previous post most of the time you never know when is last time we ever do anything until it has fone by. But there are sometimes when we do it or maybe because there isn’t any choice left. And yes, life goes on! 😊

      1. True. Maybe thats why the first kiss is romanticized while the last one brings the world down. The former brings light while the latter brings despair – to most, that is.
        But if one is as scandalous as me, it means opportunity 😉

          1. Absolutely. Though it looks (looked) impossible in the beginning, but I think we humans have an amazing ability to endure even the most heart shattering events. Not only endure, but turns around and make another mistake 😉
